TRAINING AND PERFORMANCE

PERSONAL TRAINING

I became a trainer in 2005 while studying Human Movement at the QLD University of Technology. Over the years, I have worked in various sports and fitness settings with various clientele. I offer training at a private studio in Sydney, mobile training outdoors or at your home, and online sessions. Each of my sessions is specifically designed to suit your needs and help you achieve your fitness goals quickly. Personal training and nutrition combo packages are available.

EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY AND PERFORMANCE TRAINING

I became an exercise physiologist in 2008 and have specialised in injury prevention, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and performance training since. I’m a registered Allied Health provider, which means you can claim a rebate for sessions with me via your private health fund or Medicare with a referral from your GP.

NUTRITION AND GENETICS

NUTRITION COACHING

You are what you eat, and I can help you to achieve your best health, fitness and physique via a holistic nutrition plan. A plan that considers not only your food preferences and dietary restrictions but also your current mindset, health status, lifestyle and values around nutrition. I will work WITH YOU to create an easily adaptable nutrition strategy that will make you happy and energised instead of hangry.

GENETIC TESTING

Your health, body shape and fitness are all influenced by both nature and nurture – part genes and part environment. And while you can certainly modify environmental factors that affect your health (diet, exercise, training and medicine), recent studies show that knowing a little about your genes can help you get better results fast.

One recent study showed that people on diets suited to their genes lost roughly five times more weight than those on mismatched diets, and another showed that genetic profiling of athletes might help individuals decide what to focus on to achieve bigger and better things.

Because we are all different, we need health plans designed to meet our specific requirements. Our bodies respond differently to environmental factors, and what might be the best diet or exercise for one person will not necessarily work for someone else.

A genetic test must only be done once in your life, as your genes don’t change. The results enable me to advise you on optimising your environment to support your gene expression and provide you with a personalised nutrition and training plan based on fact, not guesswork, helping you achieve your best possible health and fitness status.

Everyone can be healthy, fit and trim, but some of us need to put in a little more effort and time than others or at least be more specific with nutrition and training.

MEAL PREP 

Are you too busy to shop and cook daily but don’t want to eat takeaways and processed snacks? I will teach you how to prepare your meals from local seasonal produce. My method is simple, healthy, quick, cost-effective, sustainable and environmentally friendly. And YUMMY!

WORKSHOPS

COOKING WORKSHOPS AND PRIVATE CLASSES

Consuming too many processed foods and takeaways can contribute to several health issues, such as gut upset, inflammation, hormonal imbalance, obesity, heart disease, high cholesterol and cancer growth, to name a few.

I have designed this workshop to make your life healthier and easier by teaching you my best simple recipes. Sure, you can buy everything I will teach you in this workshop. The ‘problem’ is that most ready meals and takeouts are full of fillers, cheap vegetable oils and other harmful additives. I will teach you the most time- and cost-efficient way to make delicious and healthy meals.

Group workshops, as well as private classes, are available. A shopping tour or an online shopping session is included.

RUNNING CLINICS

Do you want to get better at running? Improving your running technique and incorporating running-specific strength and conditioning into your program will lead to better, injury-free performance. Learn from one of Australia's best Pose Method running coaches, Sally Lynch and me ;).

This workshop is held regularly at various Sydney locations, or you can book it as a private session, group or one-on-one.
